Just google some colour images of the subject for ideas.

If they are tinted, black for the lenses is a good solution as suggested above.  If going the clear route, just paint them a shade darker than what is behind them, such as the helmet colour for example, then add a clear gloss (though the clear gloss will likely make it appear darker anyways):

regards,

Jack

I have painted the lens gloss black, then added a drop of clear gloss,I think it works whether they have them up or over their eyes.I'm sure you will get some other suggestions, probably will have to see which one works for you.

Dusting off some old kits.  WW2 tanker goggles are stumping me.  Any ideas on painting?  Thanks all.
