Those look great.  Nice job, rust/chips and color modulation!?  Got to those techniques around my 75th model ;)

Thanks,

John

Thanks All— I used Primer coats to create modulation and just Tamiya Panel Accent on the M109 for the weathering— used Tamiya paint to create the chipping and Vallejo Pale Sand with thinner to create a wash for the dust effect.   It a lot of fun

Looks like somebody is a fast learner!

if I would venture a guess as to your order of builds, I would say King Tiger first/oldest, M40 second/middle, and M109 third/most recent?

In any order or case, like many others here, it took a long time before any of my builds looked this good.

U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!

N is for NO SURVIVORS...

Correct— Nice job—Started to add a little something each build now I have some varnish and Ak Grime I may add to the M40.  The M109 is done - just going to matte varnish that one.  Might try some pin wash on the Tiger just to see if it pops a little more.

Thanks for the compliments— Built a few cars 35 years ago- Straight Testor Red with Black interiors. This hobby has come a long way!

Great builds.Toast Been building for 72 years and mine still don't look that good. Have tried washes, color modulation and some of the other tricks of the trade but still make out better just building them clean out of the factory. I keep trying though.

Looks great! I’m also fairly new to the hobby, and having a great time, too.

Look forward to seeing more of your builds. I am not a big fan of the ready made filters myself, but pigments are one of the best weathering products i have, you can produce some great effects with those.

I am going to start off testing Hull Tex Anti Slip - then Prime in and shade in black. Followed by a base coat of Iraqi Sand by Vallejo— I was going to try thr filer there nd then give it a few coats of Matte Varnish before actually adding pigment and pin wash, two more coats of varnish followed by sandy tracks and Ak Grime.  Just a start idea.
