Dumb Question
Posted by Models32466 on Friday, December 28, 2018 9:25 PM

Are we allowed to trade models with other members.

I have a dragon Leopold 1/35 was going to put on Ebay but would rather make a nice trade with someone

Selling, and trading are kinda frowned upon openly on the forums. FSM has items for sale and paid advertizers, it's a legal thing. HOWEVER IF one was to contact someone via the PM feature while still kinda schetchy usually does'nt raise any hackles. So long as it does NOT become a habit or interfere with the forums. Watchya looking for to trade?

we're modelers it's what we do

FSM has its publishing company and other companies such as Hobbico pay to advertise on the website. You won't see them on the forums however many things are present throughout. Granted individual model companies do not buy space here but the professional courtesy is extended. I have made trades with other members here however out of respect to the request of the forums I keep it down low. Nothing personal kust playing by the

rules.

There is also no way to gain recourse on another member if you feel that you have been "hosed" in the deal. FSM will NOT advocate for you nor the other person in such a situation. It is written in the "by-law" we all agree to when wr join the forums.

Yes, go back channel. No one gets upset.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

As several has mentioned, no. Through back channels, via PM, and most importantly, keep it low key or discreet. Just don’t complain on these forum that you got screwed by a fellow member on FSM.

You won’t find a vendor here on FSM to do the selling for you since they’re advertisers for FSM.

Or post on another forums that allows selling and trading or use eBay, Craigslist, or Letgo.

Yes, imagine adding sales disputes to the flame rack here.

lol —I guess your right.  Don’t want to start a fight.  Just have no room for this Dragon Leopold.  It’s 1/35 and I know I cannot fit it in my small model room.  Had an atomic Annie—it was huge and the kids Broke it Now I just play with washes and filters on it.  Just thought someone would like the Leopold considering they don’t make it anymore from what I’ve been told.
