Ok,

Thanks to the motivation I get from others here at this site, I actually now complete full builds and am enjoying myself learning and trying techniques a few years ago I never thought to try.  Here is what I completed this year.

1/700 Tamiya Enterprise - Aircraft Carrier GB Jan 2018

1/700 Lexington - Battle of Coral Sea GB Jan 2018

1/700 Akagi - Battle of Midway GB Feb 2018

1/700 Prinz Eugen 1941 GB

1/700 Warsprite 1918 - Ships of the Royal Navy GB Nov 2018

1/48 Monogram (Revell) SBD - Weekend BG 2018 Dec 2018

Nice year of work.  I haven't done a ship but imagine they take quite some time, especially the carriers.  I built that dauntless (and avenger) as a boy.  Models you could play with.

Thanks,

John

N-I-C-E builds. Toast I've tried those 1/700 ships a few times but they always ended up as spare parts. Hands just shake toooooooooooo much. Won 1 in a raffle and gave it to a fellow club member who came to the next show and took a 1st and Best of Ships with it. Some have it and some don't. I'm one that doesn't. I stick to larger sizes as you can see from my avatar.

Makes me want to try a carrier build - those are some very nice ships.

Happy New Year!

Oh wow those look awesome!!!

And considering all the 1/700th aircraft on the decks of the carriers they probably rate about 2-3 times the work of a single 1/48th aircraft or 1/35th armour kit.
