Has Italeri discountinued their 1/24 scale Jeep and Landrover kit's.In searching on line hobby shop's they all have them on back order and searching Ebay the listing are rair.

In searching on line I noticed alot of the shop's seemed to have a lot of the Italeri's other kits on back order. I may be looking at the wrong shops .

If any one has heard any thing  please pass it on.

 Thank you

Where are you located?

Old Revell USA was the distributor of Italieri and Hasegawa kits in North America.   With the bankruptcy of Revell that arrangement was broken.  The distributorship was not part of the Revell AG purchase

Are these what you’re looking for?

If so, they’re on backorder for 2-3 months...

EdGrune, it wasn't Revell that went bankrupt but Hobbico Inc that owned Revell that went bankrupt.

Ed Grune's mentioning  about Revell and distributor got me to thinking. A little searching led me Model Rectier Corporation's Face Book page. There I found a posting dated August 14, 2018 . Italeri is back, MRC is exclusive importer of Italeri kits, that shipments are arriving at their ware houses.

So all these online stores with back orders of Italeri kits should have their back orders filled soon.

I agree with the others, its likely the hobbico fiasco that has held italeri products up from getting here. I think they are ok otherwise, I just saw (in the last month or so) that italeri is re-releasing the B-25G with the short cannon nose previously made by accurate Miniatures. (I'll leave it to the experts as to who originally made the kit, and who may have even made it after AM, if anyone) That may help me, as my AM kit had a weird film cast right into all the flat glass, and only the flat glass. Sanding, polishing with a dremel helped a bit, but the edges of some of the pieces got damaged by the Dremel.

though I have never built the 1/24 Jeep, I've come very close to buying it, as being used to building other vehicles in 1/24, a Jeep in 1/35 is SO TINY! I did not know they made land rovers in 1/24 as well, this has piqued my interest!

I have not built the Jeep in quite some time, probably the late 80s when I was a lieutenant in Germany. It came in two different boxings. A regular jeep and fire truck jeep. The regular jeep came in black and green with the black parts being the frame, tires, engine parts and green the body. There was an optional soft top.

The fire jeep was the exact same kit but with the fire truck tank and accessory parts, some additional clear parts for extra lights. The green parts are now red, still includes the soft top as an unused part.

Fairly well detailed, I built the fire jeep as a regular civilian just in red. That thing sat on my shelf for ages, but when I married I let my wife's kids play with it and it didn't survive.

If you do a search for land rovers, there was a discussion on this site about 1/24 or 1/25 ones that may have been fan based box art for some TV show that was never really made into a kit.
