anyone try RedFrog Hobbies?

https://www.redfroghobbies.com/

Put a small order in Monday, but no confirmation from their end, just a paid invoice from paypal.  Usually other online shops send an automated email to confirm an order, along with a number assigned to it. This morning used their on site contact to message them.  Just wondering if this is how they operarate, otherwise must be on vacation?

regards,

Jack

In the past yes, they always used to be a family operation, would have the whole family working the vendor table at Armorcon in Connecticut,if it's still them great, but I thought I heard there might be a new owner, not sure.

I've used them for some time, always great service, communications, etc. But as Tojo says, if it's a new owner it could be an entirely different ball game. Hope it works out well for you.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies.  Am assuming the comment 'great service' means they should have replied back to me by now.  They have not, so something must be up...

I'm surprised they haven't gotten back with you yet. I've ordered from them a few times with only excellent service. Those were over a year ago though, so they might be under new management.

They are or were a family operation. I've bought stuff from them at some shows they drove down to vend at. They're kinda hard to miss, his wife and two daughters are redheads/gingers, and I mean bright red hair. They stand out on the other side of a room! Wink

Correct, it was a family-run business, based here in the East Coast.  I think they lived in New Jersey.  But they sold the business a couple of years ago, and the new owner relocated the business to the Midwest.  Still a small operation, in terms of staff.

I would just be patient at this point.

Thanks for those replies fellas.

Yes their current address is in Marshfield, MO - so definitely different state.  Tried giving them a call, but went to voice mail.

This is interesting:

Still nothing from their end, and have tried their phone number which goes directly to voicemail, as well as their email on the paypal invoice.

Seems they are an outfit that does not have everything in stock, and I should have realized that fact when none of their product listings indicate a current status.  Apparently they will hold on to your order for 45 days if something is out of stock, and they will only cancel an order if everything is not availble after said amount of time.

So they are happy to hold onto your money without your input for six weeks! lol - wow.   I'm ready to cancel so I can order from somewhere else, but their customer service is non-existent...

Jack
