Only use it for a handful of groups didn't notice anything. Glad I'm not addicted to social media like so many people seem to be now.

Facebook is down? Hallelujah!! Have no interest in opening an account. Too much stupidity on social media. Kids nowadays post too many stupid stuff on there.

Now if only Facebook can disappear forever.....

There were unverified reports that emergency services in Australia were asking people not to call triple-0 (Australian equivalent of 911) because Facebook and Instagram were down.

People need to get a life....

Cadet Chuck

Roger that, guys.  I have never signed up for any of that social media stuff.  Not interested, and it only hangs you out for possible security risks.

Not all social media is evil.

Maybe I'm just too low brow for this group??? Big Smile

I do admit getting memerized at times, but I live in a rural-suburban community 40 miles North of Portland Maine.  And I have family and friends spread around the Country.  So I use it to keep in touch with old High School friends, modeling and  music groups, wooden boat enthusiasts and Friendship Sloops (see picture below for mine).  I also showcase my photography.

I guess to each their own!

Bahahaha! No facebook! Maybe there will be some new items created, brains worked!

I've never joined facebook, just lurked there, around a couple model sights.

It's too bad so many companies are on there!

Never give up, never quit, never stop modelling.Idea

Facebook could be down for the remainder of the existence of the known universe, and I would not know the difference.

But, I do empathize with the feeling of a comfortable and often-visted internet spot being down. I getcha. Been there with forums, even this one.

Cool thats its down, that explains why I didn't have the usual hundred notification emails about people forwarding the same stupid meme's this morning.

I joined when it first started and when I was traveling a lot ot keep in touch with people, but now its turned into such a circus, I rarely use it.

I didn't get on that train so no I don't feel cut off when FB is down, but it's probably a good thing. I'll bet people are freaking out over it.

Ted, they never went away. They were due to be doing some concerts this year, but of course these have now been cancelled.

Bish, if you were on Facebook, you would have known this!

Just kidding!

I am on Facebook, I use it to keep in touch with my family. However, I use it so seldom, that I had no idea it was down.

I am not a facebooker either. I did ask my better half and she said she had not noticed anything.

No interest in facebooks. The extent of my social media is this forum and model railroader forum.

At some point it'll go out of fashion.  I'm waiting for Prodigy to make a comeback.

With everyone else here, don't have one don't want one, I've had a lot of people recently telling me to just make one for modeling and not add any info about myself so I can join what ever model page they want me too be on.

I have never joined, I never look at it, and I am happy to not know what I am missing.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Facebook Down Today

Boy, I never woul have guessed that at age 55 I would be addicted to Facebook.  However, with the outage today, I find myself cutoff from all the model groups that don't have their own web forums.  I'm also cut off from my Scuba pages, wooden boat pages etc.

Anyone else feel cut off when FB isn't around?
