Hi Ya'll :
I read all the replies so far .You all had very good and plausible answers . Now to add to that I have to say,I never thought of the therapeutic value .One reply made me think back to my instructor days .
Beaming and grumpy faces greet me as I walk in the door to the Recreation room .Limbs hidden because of their being replacements for the ones they were born with .Some faces hidden under caps because of Hideous burns .
For two hours a day and continuing until the model or models were done . Oh heck,That fellow with the double prosthetic hands finished his car .Oh My ! It's gorgeous !Do I feel vindicated for suggesting this to the Recreation Director . Yup . After reading your answers I now know the truth.
Models don't have to be more than they are .But,sometimes they become the mountain we must climb to come back to family and selves.Thank Goodness for Models
