AMPS in Honolulu
Posted by Real G on Friday, March 22, 2019 6:48 PM

A little shout out for AMPS (Armor Modeling & Preservation Society) chapter in Honolulu and club prez William Florig.  The chapter started up last year and is a small but growing community of like minded (and out-of-their-minded, since they let me in Stick out tongue) armor afficianados.

They were at the bi-annual Aloha "Great Guns" gun show at the Neal Blaisdell exhibition hall, and so I shot some pics of their display (but all with my cell phone, sorry).  At least you can tell what are in the photos!  Enjoy.

...but I couldn't tell what everything was, as I neglected to cross I.D. the models and builders.  I'll do better next time.  Pinkie promise.

Real G: thanks for taking the time to both take the pictures and to share them with us. I for one really enjoyed them.

No problemo!

We'll work on placards to provide proper ID of the models and builders for future displays.  We had a Panzer I that got left behind, and I had no idea who it belonged to!  Fortunately the builder contacted us asking about the model, so all is well.

G, that looks like it was a great show. Some great modelers obviously showed up! Thank you for sharing with us! I saw plenty of subjects that I liked.

You are welcome Stik!

One of my weaknesses is weathering, so I joined hoping to learn something from these guys.  I also want to get into figure painting (well at least the crew on the vehicles) and dioramas.
