The Danbury Mint USS Kidd (DD-661) [the WWII version] is a completed display model.  I am not aware of what material the model is made (plastic, resin, wood, ?) or the level of finish detail.   Per their website it is listed at almost 300 bucks and is sold out.

Never fear,  Trumpeter models makes a 1:350 scale USS The Sullivans.  The kit has options to make the USS Kidd as she currently lives in Baton Rouge, LA in the full anti-Kamikaze refit.

Better for you it is much less expensive.   It is listed on one site at Amazon for $26.59 + shipping.

This price will be for bare plastic with minimal phtoetch details.   Aftermarket photoetch and resin/3D detail sets are also available to completely detail the bejeezus out of the kit

There was a period where Squadron was sending out their books to customers. A Kidd walkaround was one of them. I bought the Trumpeter kit (effective marketing). It's a long term project to build USS Morrison DD- 560.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Here, just announced in the last week to 10 days is a new 3D printed detail set from Black Cat Models of France.

This set will go far in updating the details of an anti-kamikaze fit/late-war Fletcher.

Black Cat also makes sets for the early-war round-bridge (i.e. Tamiya) Fletcher and the mid-war 10x 40mm gun tube Fletcher variants (either Tamiya or Trumpeter).
update

Black Cat is turning out some well-detailed aftermarket kits and has done several never done before kits in 1:350;  LCT MK 5, LCT MK6, and USCG 83' Rescue Boat (Flotilla 1 at Normandy).  Recommended

Contact Ben at Blackcat Models and plead your case

Your other option maybe L'Arsenal Models, also out of France.  They make a set of resin & brass LCM-3s in 1:350 scale.   You could splice 2 together to make 1.
