He did .The 1/32 P-51 Clear Mustang with turning Prop,Working Landing Gear ,Dropping Bombs and Control Stick !

Oh , My Gosh You could've knocked me over with a feather when I opened this nice purple fabric Bag , Tied in a Red ribbon with a Birthday card from him , curtousy of Amazon ! This Kit was Number two to build on my Bucket List ! !  T.B.

What you've got there, Tank-Builder, is a Monogram Phantom Mustang! Kit #850067. I've built several over my lifetime plus the solid version with no interior structure.

I see them at hobby shows once in a while. They can be pretty pricey due to their rarity.

Kudos to your son!

OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...

Yeah, I did that one in the sixties my self.   I never have done the clear one.  I could not see a reason for doing one that way.  Of course I was just a silly teen kid then.

I have that kit, but no real desire to build it.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Hi FotoFrank and all'You all .

Thanks for the replies . I guess he got the idea from another plane I built .Anyone have the " Tamiya ? or Hasegawa ? Clear M.E.262 .?  I did one about two years ago .All the plumbing is inside both engine cowls and the Fuselage .Including the Mechanicals for the guns . I painted parts of it as per the Box Cover but left most Clear . The Instrument panel was produces by creating a new one out of P.E colored scraps from other Planes .

Never had so much fun in me life .That's why I think I started Boat and Ship cut-aways too ! Revell's German U-Boot ( Gunther prien's Boat ) had me figuring out how to create a clear cover for the exposed side so the inside could be seen But , The hull looked complete ! . Got it done and went back and started a Coast Guard Cutter that way and on the old bench ( not where I work now ) stands a Titanic with cut-aways all over her . Especially the Second class and Third class spaces as well as the engine rooms and holds .

I keep checking out this book that has the Cut-Away pictures and the Librarian thinks I have an obsession with the Ship !LOL.  T.B.
