Dyi plastic injection models

Saw an ad in the latest issue of make magazine for your own plastic injection parts machine. Well, your own if you are willing to invest $1,800!  But still interesting. The company's web site is https://www.techkits.com/.  I have no affiliation with them, just wanted to share. Can someone actually get into designing their own models 'cheaply' ?

The metal dies you need for styrene injection are very hard to make (they are made from metal) unless you are a diemaker.

However, urethane resin casting is not that difficult, and many of us do our on resin castings.  Hobby Lobby carries a starter kit, and so do many hobby shops.
