Trying to decide between buying tamiya's panel line accent color and Humbrol's enamel wash . Now of course whichever I get I must buy a gloss varnish and enamel thinner

Thanks in advance. Mike

Personally, I love both product lines. Try one of each and see which you prefer.

Exactly. Then you will know about several products that I have never tried. Look forward to your review..

Water colors and pastels work for me. Clean up with water and no nasty smells. They tend to work best on a flat clear coat as opposed to a gloss coat, but you can use them on either. Very inexpensive as well.

I am a bit confused. Are you buying a wash or a panel line accenting paint. For accenting panel lines I use Tamyia Panel Line Accent Color paint. It is an enamel paint, so it cannot be applied over an enamel paint because the excess Panel Line paint needs to be removed with an enamel thinner. I have never used a Humbrol paint.

Your comments and questions are always welcome.

Never tried either,I have AK and Mig Productions. Many mix their own,I believe that with the manufactured stuff, one is pretty much the same as the other.

I've never used washes. I have, however, used a very fine-tipped pencil to accent my panel lines many years ago (I've not done that in a while, either). Easy to do, and no clean-up after you're done.
