Ok. Here we go with an update.
The storage/transportation boxes arrived today and I spent a fun afternoon exploring and putting in the Shinden and Nick.
The boxes come with a mount to which you put the aircraft on. To give you a better look I took the mount out of the box to make sure that the aircraft fitted and to make any adjustments needed. Everything is done with nuts and finger bolts etc, but you will need a phillips head screwdriver.
I used a rubber band across the nose. There is a hook on the mounts to enable you to do this if needed. I didn't want to break off the covers for the nose wheel and the aircraft is still secure and doesn't move!
Shinden box is a bit smaller than the main one. and because of the long undercart, goes in upside down!
The Nick box is 400x400mm and is a bit tight in the box, but still fits. Aleksandr is a bit hampered as his machine is only 600x600mm. I did have to make slight adjustments on the wing mounts, but the mount design incorporates this.
The box and stand is made out of 5mm plywood and is very light and very sturdy. Storing your builds in these will keep dust off them and taking builds to shows in these boxes will ensure that they get there with no damage at all. You could also ship builds to clients too and the boxes would handle the trip OK.
I do highly recommend these from Aleksandr and those wanting to take stuff to shows for displays, competition etc will find that these are a really sound buy as they will last for years.
