This year was my first time to Modelpalooza.  Here's my opinions-

It was a bit hard to find the road as it wasn't well marked, some of that I blame on the bad weather we had that Saturday morning.

The venue was great!

I'm fortunate that my 3 teenage kids are modelers as well, we all spent more than our allowance at the vendors. The trunk of my Volkswagen was full by the time we left for the day.

The people we talked to were pleasant.

All in all a good day and we're making plans to be there next year.

I agree with Bobby. Great time. Parking lot flooded but that's mother nature fault.  The layout was fine. Everything was easy to move around to.  I spent too much. I told my wife the last purchase was Eagles faultWhistling

LOL!  It was!  LOL!  I fueled the fire on that one.  Sorry Mrs. TJ.  Embarrassed

It was a blast.

Just curious, but what did you guys hwo ade it to Modelpalooza think of the show?

I thought it was a great show.  The venue was a bit better then last years (parking there was terrible!).  The parking was better for sure.  Finding the place was not as easy.  The signs for the show did not point accurately to were you needed to go to park, but other then that the show itself was great!  The tables were set up very nicely and there was a good flow to everything.

You just can't go wrong with modelpalooza!  Great vendors, awesome builds, and getting to meet people from the FSM forums!  What more could you ask for?  LOL!

It was a blast meeting you and TJ.

Sorry everyone...I work for the weather service and as you may know...  I'm a bit busy here in Florida right now.  LOL!

I'll be wearing a blue Disney cruise line t-shirt and I'll wear my black retired Air Force hat until I meet everyone (it's the only hat I have, LOL).

When would be a good time to meet up and where?  10:00 near the front entrance?

I'll be there! Had to miss last year because of Hurricane duty in Mexico Beach, so looking forward to making it again. I'll be wearing a Black hat with a Red Dead Pool logo

Wow...JJ, PJ...Greg...I'll be all alone!  LOL!

Hope you guys can work it out to come, but I understand...life happens!

As for anyone else who wants to hook up, let's pick a time and maybe meet up around the entrance or something.

TJ..I am there on the Saturday.  I spend most of the day there.  I commando through the vendors first thing they open the doors, then I enjoy cruising the contest entries!  Awesome builds...very inspiring......then I commando through again just to make sure I didn't miss anything!   LOL!  I'm the one with arm fulls of kits running out to my car telling everyone which round that is I'm going to the car to drop off kits!  LOL!

ikar01, which table will you be at?  I'll be sure to stop by first and say hello.  I know you will be busy, so you can let me know if you'll be able to do a lunch break and when.  Hopfully we can get TJ and any others to join in.

I look forward to meeting everyone!  This is a really great venue and I enjoy it every year!

I'll definitely meet up with you. I plan on buying a bunch too. Let me know how you want to get in touch. Cell #, email etc.

Cool.  I'll PM you and we can work out details.

Anyone else going to be there?  Anyone...anyone...Bueller?

I just looked at the vendor table map and it listed the club as having #82 all the way on the right side of the diagram, but I was told that we would be occupying about 5 tables so it might be possible that we will bu in the beginning 50s.  I'll just have to wait until Friday afternoon to find out for sure.   But we will be there and hope to get with all of you.

Ok.  I'll look for you around that area then.  Will cool to put faces to avatars.  LOL!

I'll shot you a PM Friday night and work out details for a meet up at your table....and probably buy something!  LOL!

Since the date of the show changed it has interfered with my work schedule which has not. Darn it I have been looking forward to attending the show all year but alas I cannot go.

If nothing else it could be a slight side trip, like a payment for the work.  You will have all day Saturday and part of Sunday.  Never know.

Hopefully I will be able to attend. My son asked me to help him move from NC to Central Florida so that's up in the air when his transfer gets approved after early October.

We've got to be there late Friday afternoon to set up and then we'll be there all day Saturday and until the awards presentations are over.  After that, we pack up and head for the east side of town and home.
