Dragon Care USA???
Posted by mstazz62 on Monday, July 29, 2019 8:33 PM

I think it should be Dragon Doesn't Care USA - I have repeatedly emailed them looking for some replacement sprues from their 1/350 Scharnhosrt kit - Now I admitted that I lost them - I said as much on my emails and offered to pay for replacements. This is the email I sent :

Hello Sirs - Somehow I have lost both sprue "G" from my 1/350th scale Scharnhorst kit #DR1036. I was wondering can you send those 2 sprues "G" out to me? I will gladly purchase the parts- I really need them- Thank you- Mark

This is their response:

Your ticket "Lost sprues for 1/350 Scharnhost" (number [366-24C652C6-D812]) has been closed. However, if you reply to this message with the ticket number in the subject (including the brackets), it will reopen the issue.

This is just a notification. No action is required on your part.

????? What does that mean? I have repeatedly emailed my request but got no where.

This is very frustrating and I don't think it reflects well on Dragon as a company. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated

Thank you and happy modeling

Mark

Thats frustrating!  I’ve needed replacement parts for both photoetch and road wheels that were not in an Sdkfz 165 I bought from an online retailer. The kit was out of production but they still got them to me within a couple weeks.

You could try again - reply to their email and write the same thing for the most part, though with the Subject line saying what they want it to...{I.e.- “[366-24C652C6-D812]”}; but there is still no guarantee of success. I couldn’t get a replacement piece from Revell for a P-40.

Might as well give it one last shot, though, right?

If not, you could also check for the sprue on EBay and see if anyone is selling it there.

In the early 2000s, Dragon Care was awesome. Sometime in the last decade, it became very hit or miss with most folks never hearing from them, especially if the kit was OOP for any length of time.

This is a quote from my post on missing lynx about Dragon Care. Be advised this was 13 years ago.
