@ Littletimmy

Man I'm glad someone get's something positive out of decals. Painting does for me what Decaling does for you, so I get it.

the Baron

This reminds me of an idea that we talked about in our club, for a build night-Assembly Line Building.  We would all bring kits in various stages of completion, where we had stopped on some step we disliked.  Everyone would take that step in the process that he liked to do, and we could collaborate to knock out those builds.  We never did it, though, but it could be done.

Interesting idea you should get that going.

My least favorite is filling seams and correcting major fit problems. Favorites include detailing cockpits, painting (especially since I found out about using poster putty worms for soft edges - thanks to the folks here on the forum) and decalling.

Favorite is decalling. It gives the subject an identity. least is seams, especially on aircraft fuselages.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

For me, I find Decaling to be "Soothing" . Which is odd, because I'm usually doing one letter at a time. And, I absolutely L O V E  weathering stuff !!!!!

I HATE:

Automotive, doing anything to the frame/suspention.

Ship's, rigging.

Plane's again rigging, and seam's.

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

I am not fond of painting canopies.  I love everything else.

I like all aspects of a build except sanding seams and installing canopies.

My favorite part of the build is painting. It's just relaxes me and I enjoy seeing the results.

Least favorite is decals that's why I have taken to painting the larger ones which leaves me with just the tiny stenciled decals and those can be a stressful adventure.

I'm taking a little stress break from those tiny things right now so I thought I'd put this out there and see what others love and dread with their builds.
