3d Pen for scale modeling?

Here's an interesting new invention that I've never seen before... looks like it it melts some special kind plastic together to create 3d objects. Has anyone used a 3d pen or know about them? I'm wondering if such a thing has an application in scale modeling, especially if the plastic would mesh together well with styrene (or not) and if the material would paint well.

I can think of lots of places where that pen would come in very handy for making small parts and repairing items. Seam filling pops up right away. My only problem is that my hands were NEVER that steady. OMG, that guy is good.
