Best Tiger 1/35 kit?
Posted by mbh8585 on Sunday, November 24, 2019 4:14 PM

Any suggestions on a good Tiger kit (early. mid, or late)?  I am not a fan of the tamiya link tracks; painful.  I built the Tamiya Tiger I late version, ok, but think metal tracks would have been better.  Thanks all.

I like the Dragon Tigers.Their Tunisian Tiger is very good I also built their Late with the zimm molded on.Their Tigers are superb.

I never built an Rye Field Models one, people like them.

Here is a good link by a Tiger expert evaluating kits.

I have built a Tamita Tiger I Mid and am currently building a Dragon Late version. Both are very nice kits, though i am not keen on the rubber band tracks and have replaced them with Fruils on both kits. The Dragon kit is of course a lot more detailed with lots of un-used parts in the box, and i find the instructions a bit complicated to follow.

But the Rye Field Tigers are meant to be very nice, and given they are more recent yet still far cheaper than Dragon, i think they are worth checking out.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
