Looking for models

A good source for car models is www.scalehobbyist.com. They offer a good selection and excellent service, and have a great paint inventory at super prices.

Upscalehobbies.com is almost all car and bikes.  Fantastic service too.  

Try ebay. You can find older kits there.

I'd start by figuring out what you are looking for. The skill level thing is a general way of saying high quality.

Do you read online forums about cars? Not the one here, but full on auto modeler forums. Those are really useful to learn what the "hot setup" is.

When it comes time to buy kits, if they are still being popped just do searches. For out of production stuff, it's hard to beat eBay.

I am looking into getting into building plastic car models and curious where the best place to purchase them online would be? I'm looking for skill level 4 and 5 1:24 scale. I have looked at Hobby Lobby and a few other hobby places but I was really shocked to see there wasn't a really great selection to choose from. Am I missing something or looking in the wrong place? I didn't think it would be that hard to find. Thank you
