Easy plastic tracks asemble, Hairdryer technic.

One of my most valuable modelling tools in a hairdryer. With gentle applied heat you can deform misaligned plastic parts and "re soften"plastic bounds...

An example of this technology are plastic loose link tracks. Just connect the links with plastic glue, in a straight line. No "pre-bending" around the wheels is necessary. Let dry for a few hours and paint. Let cured overnight (still the tracks are one straight line and become relatively inflexible.) Fix the wheels to the model. Gently apply warm/ heated air from the hairdryer and the track becomes flexible IMPORTANT, gently no excessive heating up is required. With the now flexible track it becomes very easy to bend and shape the track as you like. If the track becomes inflexible again just a little heat will make it flexible again.

The big benefit is that you do not have to worry about the time between glueing the tracks and fixing them around the wheels, no race against the clock. Painting is much easier if the track is still flat/ in a straight line., I have been succesfull in re softening the bound after several days of drying.  However it has it's limits, is the glue completly cured, than it becomes much harder to bend the track.
