Hello!

There's a company called "Scale Aircraft Conversions" - they make metal copies of landing gear for many models. It's worth checking if they do a T-33 or a P-80, and then to install metal landing gear in the front - that would also help balancing the model. Hope it helps, good luck and have a nice day

It appears that a couple replies to you question got lost in the recent outage. Here's my take on your repair...

At 1/72 scale, I think it would be easier to substitute a metal tube or pin of the right diameter for the landing gear shaft, using CA to glue on the oleos, axles, and other bits. As mentioned, drilling for a pin would be a tiny task. The major join at the gear well would be hidden and could be reinforced as required. Hope this helps!

This is 1/72 and I think drilling the flimsy nose gear leg would be very difficult. What you can do is sand both ends to be joined, apply model cement, let dry overnight, overcoat joint with CA.

Drill holes into each side of broken part and insert a length of wire to reinforce the joint.  Cement with CA

Your best bet is to drill out the gear and use a bit of rod or wire to pin the pieces together. It'll help give the gear the strength to hold the model up on its wheels when you're done

I have two Hasegawa 1/72 T-33s that need the flimsy front landing gear repaired.  Both broke in the mid section of the part.  Anyone have a sugestion on how to fix these cause cement and CA arent holding up.
