Ya I'm tempted to try a couple as well - and the warships as well.  

They're fun to build and a great little 'palate cleanser' before you start on another serious model. 

I have most of them. They are fun and an inexpensive way to try new techniques. The parts fit is tight. sometimes you do not need to fill a seam, even upper and lower hull. white glue and q tip will fill any tiny gap. The fit is so tight priming or painting bfore hand will result in having to sand the paint off the mounting tabs. The US tanks, at least the Sherman, have headlight guards which are hard to cut off the sprue and difficult to fit without breaking. 

I am currently working on the Souma S-35. As my previous "correct" paint jobs did not impress the judges i am doing this in French 1940 4 color scheme using white, gray, pink, and black. I really liked the T-34 and KV-2.

      Hi: I have found that the search for the "correct" color is what put me off on these shows. Especially the I.P.M.S. shows. Don't get me wrong, I do like going still as an observer/Buyer. When I can.

      What got me aggravated were the judges who seemed to think everything should be pristine in Civilian ships. I have never, like in the Navy, seen a ship pristine after a month or so at sea.

      I worked for Matson years ago, Many in fact. I painted my models based on photographs taken while aboard. They are still going to tell me my colors were wrong? I just got tired of defending my work against their animosity and lack of knowledge!

Take a look at the Silly Egg GB from last summer.  We had fun with it.  I did the Panther as The Pink Panther and the Tiger as a tiger in white and orange with stripes.

I only bought and built one, a Sherman, and thought it was a neat little kit. It reminded me of the Ed Roth cars and kits of my childhood. They look like they would be awesome starter kits.
