A Different Kind of Model Making
Posted by 1943Mike on Monday, March 30, 2020 12:01 PM

I've been in a modeling funk for a while now. I've a barely started kit on my bench but haven't been able to motivate myself to get going on it. I suppose that happens to all of us now and then but my funk has lasted nearly a year.

Today I received an email from an old colleague of mine (we both were teachers in the same high school) who forwards some funny and/or interesting videos to a bunch of his acquaintences from time-to-time. This particular one may inspire me to get back to the bench.

I hope you find it as inspirational as I do.

Thanks for the link Mike. Really makes you think that a missing or broken part in a kit drives some of us crazy, but this guy wouldn't bat an eye.

As a kid, my dad found out that a gentleman in the neighborhood made model airplanes out of matchsticks.  We went to his house and saw a beautiful Hughes racer.  It had about a two foot wingspan.  This was in the mid-fifties.
