How Full Is Your Bench?

I'm a little better off just juggling three.     Where to start though. I think I'll finish the tank off then straight onto the other two, great way to spend an afternoon nothing too taxing.

Just got the one going. May pull one from the SOD for a break from the USS Oakland.

Empty at the moment but not for long

Always have 2 or 3 working at the same time. Usually it's a sailing ship on the side that I work on when the glue or paint is drying on the other two. Which one I work on depends on how I feel about one or the other of them at the time. Usually have 4 or 5 completed each year for the shows that our club attends. Haven't gotten any done this past year for myself. Had too much work to do cleaning and repairing models for the museum. It's great work. Learning lots about all the different planes and ships I've worked on. Have to research each and every one to get the paint and decals right. Have two drawers full of info on all of them plus added a few books to the shelves.

I only have 2 right now.  My motivation to finish them has disappeaed.  One is an old Revell kit of the U.S.S. Oriskany, done totally OTB.  I only have the A/C to put the decals on.  All finished otherwise.  The other is a Tamiya model of the Panther type G, late.  I got the basic 3 colors on it.  I only have to fine tune the camoflage job a bit. I started that one last December, right before the holidays.  I just hit a creative wall.  I usually have several going.  Not now.  Maybe because I had a real productve year before, I did 13 just before this.  This has happened before.  So, I will get over it.  It just takes time.  Don't rush it!   (Blame Covid).

Hey! My dad was a crewman on the U.S.S. San Juan, CL 54, a close sister of Oakland. He was on it in all WW 2.

Freem, stuff is too widely scattered in my hobby room to get everything into one picture, but I can make a list for you.

Sometimes I overwhelm myself with just too much being built at one time. I don't ever see that changing though. As a wise man once said: "We're modelers, it's what we do."

I also failed to mention Revell's 1/350 Emden, two DeHavilland DH-2 in 72 scale and a Morane Saulnier N in 72 (Revell kits).  Just glad I ain't alone in the multiple kit league!

       Thanks to circumstance, it has now overflowed to the kitchen table. Talk about Deja Vu!

Normally, I'd keep it down to 1 or 2 projects going at a time but right now I'm up to 5!
