Tamiya X-22 with Windex over Vallejo Air
Posted by mdanfas on Thursday, April 16, 2020 9:17 AM

Hello everyone.

This is my first ever post on this forum. Hope you're all safe and #stayhome.

I started with a scale model car from Aoshima. But ended up finding that the hobby shop in Dubai can't deliver paints. And I can't go buy it because of the lockdown. The shop is 130kms away from the place I live.

Anyways, I've got some Vallejo Model Air paints. But they're flat. Also I'm able to get some of tamiya paints including the X-22 gloss clear but not the X-20A thinner.  I searched the forums and found Windex can be used for thinking the paint for airbrushing. Also Windex is used for stripping paint off the model.

My question is, Can I use Windex to instead of X-20A? Or is Isopropyl alcohol(70%) better ?

Will this strip the Vallejo paint off the model? Or is it safe to use ?

THANK YOU

and sorry for making it long.
