Something else I noticed was the plastic along the sidewall of the cockpit tub flaked off when I scraped it with my blade.  Almost like it didn't cure properly.  I reached out to Revell but they're not sending spares right now.  I'll make due I guess.

Look to me like a unusual pooling of mold release agent. You said it washed off. Look at it again in a day or two. If it's still clean you should be good.

Hello friends. Need your opinion. Do you think this is an accumulation of mold release agent or possibly oil in the plastic that is percolating to the surface?  It's from a new tool 1/32 Revelll Fw190 A-8 Nachtjager.  No other sprues or parts had this slick goo on them, but I gave everything a warm soapy bath just in case.  The part cleaned up well but could there be a chance of more goo percilating to the surface? I've honestly never seen anything quite like this before.
