I sometimes get the idea that Atlantis has planted a transponder in my brain that lets them test ideas on which old mold to repop! Every one has been a winner in my book. It is uncany how every time I decide I would like to build an old Revell issue, I soon see it on the shelf or hear word of the release!
Just have to get the B-36!

LOL! I'm waiting for them to get around to more of the old Aurora kits. Especially the 1/48 choppers!

Just looked at their site. I get them confused with Moebius.
I see they have the 727 "Whisper Jet". LOLs, LOLs as Tanker Builder would say.
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
As far as I have heard, Atlantis bought only the old Revell and Monogram molds. That does give them a lot to work with, though.
Well, you can't forget other stuff that Revell/Monogram acquired themselves over the years. The 1/48 Army Mule/HUP-2 started off as Helicopters for Industry, the molds were bought by Aurora, Monogram got them when Aurora folded, and now Atlantis has them and issued the kit again. It's clear Atlantis has a fair amount of Aurora molds from the Revell/Monogram collapse; I wonder what happened to the Renwal stuff? Might not have been as attractive, as a lot of them had been reissued recently. The Revell B-36 is a lousy kit, by the way, but it is one of still very few of this aircraft.

They own some of Aurora 's old kits. The new Cheyenne kit is Aurora. I'm not sure which ones but for a time Revellogram owned some and Atlantis bought them.

Hi,
I remeber that Cheyenne kit from when I was young. I ended up messing up the painting (a commonm problrm for me to this day) and instead of having a 2 color camo pattern I more or less ended up with a kind of bluish-green overall paint job. I think I also lost the machine gun barrel so I used a small black piece of tubing from another kit. It looked ok but curved just enough to be noticeable.
If I can find the Cheyenne anywhere now for a reasonable price I may have to pick up a copy just for nostalgias sake.
The Cheyenne kit was re-released late last year and is available from sellers on ebay and also direct from Atlantis models.
