OLLIE'S
Posted by DRUMS01 on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 7:06 PM

I hope it is OK to post this in this manner; if not my apologies and please remove the post from the forum.

For those of you in the USA near the discount clearance chain called "Ollies", you need to check them out. They currently have some model kits on steep discounts. Most of what I saw were Lindberg, but there were also classic trucks, Corvettes, etc. (nothing on the high end like Tamiya, DML, Meng, etc.)

On the lindberg line, they had all of the 1/16 horse drawn cannon and stagecoach kits for $29.99 or less. They also had the old Snark missle with tractor and launcher for pennies to the dollar. There were a couple armor kits, a space kit, etc.

I got this for $19.99 because of the slightly damaged box:

Good Luck!

Hi Ben, I used to go to Ollies in Delaware every time I got a flyer. I went as soon as I got it but there was nothing on the shelves. The flyer didn't get to me until a week or so after the sale. I did however get a few good history books and some other stuff at a great price. Wish they'd stock a bit more so there would be some left. It was an hours drive to get there and then nothing.

Yeah, Ollie's is pretty well-known to us modelers as a source for some of those older brands.  They distribute for Round2, who own the Lindberg brand, along with a couple others.

Ollie's started out near Harrisburg, and they've been primarily in the East Coast, but they've started branching out into the Midwest, too.

I would hesitate to buy any food items there at Ollie's, though.  It's the Expiration Date Grab-Bag.

While some Lindberg kits are only so-so quality, the Stagecoach and the Cannon and Limber are two of the best.  I treasure both builds.
