ok, just spent about 10 minutes laying out how to use Google photos and whent to correct some spelling and whole damn post - all my typing disappeared - !!!  I use google photos from a shared folder i create for each separate project.  its pretty easy once tyou get the hang of it. Its import to use a shared folder and copy the "image location" when copying the photo from google to finescale.  If youre interested pm me and give some more details.   my fingers hurt now.  tks

And please no griping about how every other site allows direct posting. These guys don't, citing data capacity issues. 
Whether or not that holds water I don't know but it only involves an extra step and it does get you a cloud backup.

If other sites do that, they usually don't continue doing it for very long.  Bandwidth and storage space don't come for free.  They either have to start charging subscription fees, run annoying ads, or close up shop.

I use imageshack for hosting photos.  It costs me $3.99 a month and I've been happy with them so far.  I can get a URL for any photo I want to post here, and all I have to do is copy and paste it right into the body of my post.  It already has the necessary UBB code around the URL to make it post correctly.  I can set the size and whether or not it is a thumbnail and it gives me a URL to paste that does exactly what I want it to do on this forum.

What the others have said.   When you select the image icon from the message block you are presented an address entry block.   Enter the web address, the http-whatever, where your picture exists.  It should be a .jpg or .gif format file.  Not a .html file.  The file MUST exist at a web-accessible location.  Not on your phone or computer.  

in the past photobucket was popular. They shot themselves in the foot with their fee structure.  Others now are postimage, Imgur, or fotoki.  They have pluses & minuses.  

To the OP:  I know you are frustrated, but posting in all CAPS is considered rude.  you are shouting.  Conversational sentence structure is often preferred.  Judicial use of CAPS is used for emphasis or abbreviation. 

Do a search in forum technical assistance and you'll get the advice you need.

I use Fotki- 4 24/ year no adds.

Most of us do not like photobucket.
