Those builds are outstanding. The Land Rover is my favorite.

Thanks guys. I couldn't do a build now without a base, comes from building diorama's, and it makes it so much easier to move the model and i just like it looks much better. I am not keen on the plastic bases that come with most ship and sci fi models, and it doesn't take long to knock one up.

I have really got into the ship builds. I did a few of the old Airfix kit when i was a kid and then a couple of simple ones a few years ago. But i have now built 4 in the last 2 years with a 5th underway.

lewbud, ye, i like that tractor as well. I think i need to get a couple more of those, nice kits.

Great builds Bish! My favorite plays a supporting roll in its display and that is the little tow tractor with the Sea Harrier.

Bish, that is a super “bakers dozen” that you finished in 2020. And all with some sort of base or stand. Top notch work all the way around!

Really like the bases for all of your models. They are simple yet very good at making your models look even better..

Bish, as usual, your work is superb to the point of stunning...and the bases just kick it up to the next level. They're all glorious, but your own personal Warrior is just a gem.

Thanks for sharing the lot. Even seeing them one by one as the months tick by, seeing a whole year's output by anyone is special.

"Well done that man"...and Happy New Year.

Build Review 2020
Posted by Bish on Saturday, January 2, 2021 3:54 PM

I'm a bit late with this thread this year. I had 2 last builds i needed to get over the finish line, which i got done today, still close enough to count as 2020 builds. A couple of first for me this year.

The first of my firsts was my first 35th resin vehicle, Accurate Armour's Snatch Land Rover in N Ireland markings.

This is the second time i have built Fujimi's 72nd Ju 87R-2. I really like the yellow markings on this one, a good enough reason to build a second one of this variant.

My first 72nd naval build, Revell's S-100 took me 3 months and i loved it. Also used my first 3D printed parts, the rear gun shield and propellers.

Next up was Hasegawa's 1/72nd Me 262B-1a.

Followed by Minicrafts 1/72nd Ventura Mk II.

Then, the most personal build i have ever buiult or am ever likely to build. I converted Academy's Warrior 510 IFV into a 511 Command Vehicle useing Accurate Armours conversion set and some scratch building. This was the vehicle of the Company second in command of A Coy 1 Kings from April 2001 until July 2006 when it became Arnheim Coy 2 Lancs and is the vehicle i drove and maintined fom April 2001 to May 2007. My baby.

RV Aircraft's 72nd Fw 190D-11 was a lovely kit.

As was Fine Molds 72nd Bf 109G-10.

I had never build a Harrier until this year, and i built 2, both 72nd Airfix kits. a Sea Harrier FA/2.

And a Harrier GR.9.

I started AMT's STAP and battle Droid in 2019 for the Star Wars GB, but finally got it finished almost a year later.

And the last two that i just finished off. Bronco's 1/350 HMS Vanguard.

And last, but certainly not least, Takom's 1/35th Chieftain Mk 11.

I am amazed i got as many done as i did. Seeing as i spent 3 months on the S-Boat and 2 months on a 72nd U-Boat on which i haven't even got the hull together yet, i didn't think i would get into double figures. But i actually managed to get most of the builds i had planned to build at the start of the year.

Thanks for looking. Happy new year to you all, and lets look forward to another great modelling year ahead.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
