This does NOT have anything to do with Food.
Rather, when you are trying to scratch build What -If or Steampunk, where do you go for parts? Recently I had to Autopsy (Mechano-Topsy?) a Ferris Wheel ( Double) that suddenly started breaking, on the layout the public sees at the Museum !
Well after getting the thing down to it's basic parts I found out something interesting. The lubricant from KIBRI that says safe for all plastics, Wasn't! No way to repair it. Now, what do I do with all the plastic greeblies laying in front of me. Toss them? Nope!
After careful counting and sorting, I can build a Steampunk style Submarine Cutaway or an Airship with them IF? I had the connecting longitudals I would need. The Museum comes to my rescue again. They needed Fencing for the new Wurstfest grounds. (WurstFest, A traditional New Braunfels Celebration of our German heritage, food and dance) Well I cut the fencing off the trees they were on and were about to throw them away. OOP'S that would've been a mistake.
Perfect longitudals for the sections I am going to build! If we have the other scrapped Double ferris wheel then I will have enough of the most unique pieces I have found for this. I'll keep you posted. These I'll be using have a shape similar to a Box Girder except it's a Shape where one side is smaller than the other opposite it. I forget what you call that, it's been so long! Anyway they are BOTH the right size and also the right length!
