Pledge Revive It
Posted by Bullfinch on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 6:35 AM

I need to restock on some accessories/varnishes etc as I'm starting get low.

One of things I need is a good gloss varnish. I'm looking at ordering from Amazon UK Pledge Revive It, it seems to get good reviews from model makers.

Bearing in mind I'm in the UK I can't get Future so easily. Assuming Pledge Revive It is OK to spray on where decals are going is pledge OK to spray over with another brand of mat varnish?

That’s the stuff you’re looking for. It’s basically the old “Future” formula, just different package and scent perhaps.

Thanks for your reply Barabbas, is it OK to overspray with a matt varnish after decals are on for example Alclad without problem?

I have been using Future for many years but recently discovered AK Gauzy Shine Enhancer. This stuff is amazing.

Bullfinch
I'm looking at ordering from Amazon UK Pledge Revive It,

Hi, Bullfinch - I use Pledge Multi-Surface Polish, bought from our local Tesco (other supermarkets are also available!) - might save you waiting for a delivery, and might be cheaper, too.  It gives a nice gloss finish & protects your paintwork from damage by weathering with enamels or oils, mixed with white spirit/turps, plus you can polish floors with it, should you feel so inclined[:)

EDIT - just checked the price on Amazon - £11.99!  it's about £4 - £5 in the shops.

Vell, Zaphod's just zis guy, you know?
