Do kit making companies ever visit modeling forums?

I belong to a cycling forum where bike making, bike accessories making and apparel making representatives/owners more or less regularly come to visit. You can give them direct feedback, ask questions, complain, praise etc. It is a great way to be in touch with customers and know first hand what they want and need. It is also a great way for customers to feel that the bike company is not some distant untouchable something. Few time I e-mailed directly the owner of a bike bike making company and got a response. Has anybody from, say, Tamiya or Dragon ever come here to say "hi"? Or Spruebrothers or Hobby Lobby etc? Have they ever been invited by Finescale bosses? Would you folks want something like that?

I was recently reading someones WIP on AMK's MIG 31.  A rep from AMK stumbled upon it and the builder and rep had an extensive dialogue on the various assemblies.  It's was really cool reading the build process from the modeler perspective and the kit manufacturers.  I think it was on Britmodeler.

I might have the kit wrong but I'm pretty sure it's the MIG from AMK.

Hi;

 If it could be handled like your bike sites, Yes, I believe it could be beneficial to both the Mfgr's and the Public buying the product. I don't expect to see it happen though!

Why not? Maybe some Finescale person of influence/editor could invite them?

Probably was. They have a dedicated section for commercial vendors & manufacturers...running the gamut from 'big guys' to 'kitchen' operations...and lots of vendor interaction.

Dragon used to, and then had their own sock puppet who posted in Pidgin English on their own "read only" forum (Mighty Dragon Fan Club forum) to respond to various posts about their lack of quality control or engineering problems.
