Dan, Sorry, I didn't mean it that way.

I was more into Jonny Quest, and the coyote and the roadrunner. I did grow up, some, but definately did not 'get boring'.

No worries. I was hoping maybe I misread it, but sadly, you never know. It seems like no matter where you go, there's someone who wants to take a shot at you!! My apologies for the snarky reply. I guess my skin still isn't as thick as I think it is!

I hope all this Tubi and Pluto TV watching at bench time is only after exhausting the current podcasts from 'On The Bench', 'The Plastic Posse Podcast', 'Plastic Model ***', 'The Model Geeks', 'The Scale Model Podcast',  and 'Just Making Conversation'!!!   If not, you all are missing out on lost of great model building conversations!

I don't know any of these! Off to do some research.

Cheers Dodgy

They all have their area of "expertise", for example, the Model Geeks are all retired Navy guys who all either flew, or maintained Navy Aircraft. The Plastic Posse (my personal favorite!) does armor, sci-fi and miniatures for wargaming (but dont let that dissuade you...they talk about all aspects), etc.

On The Bench are the O. G., theyve been around for a few years now, with most, if not all others coming up in the pandemic.

There is lots to consume1  Enjoy!

I'm hearing you Greg! And then there was Nanny and the Professor and the unrequited love of my life, Agent 99.. Sigh.....

I think the women from my youth have greatly affected me - when I think of women who I consider truly gorgeous, they are (in no particular order):

Barbara Eden; Yvonne Craig; Elizabeth Montgomery; Jaclyn Smith; Dawn Wells (I was always a Mary Ann guy - Ginger seemed to be too much); Julie Newmar; Cheryl Ladd; Farrah (of course); Linda Carter; etc.

These were the ladies I watched all the time in the 70's and wow, to me, they were all just so stunning and sexy. Full figured, natural, gorgeous. Who remembers Barbi Benton?

Ah yes. And then there was Gidget and The Flying Nun, looove Sally Fields.

How 'bout one from far-r-r left field:

Julie Sommars, playing Dan Dailey's daughter in "The Governor and J.J.?"

Glamdring

I have the Pluto Military channel as a favorite, currently watching a WW1 documentary marathon.  It can be rather repetitive rather quickly though, it seems they only have a week's worth of content before it starts over.

Robert - that is true, but both channels do update their content regularly, and remember - they are free. Tubi is nice because you can sign up (still free) and by doing so, it will allow you to add shows to "My List" and will remember where you left off with episodes.

Just an FYI to anyone with a Smart TV, a tablet, phone, or even an Amazon Fire Stick - there are two 100% free apps that you can download, Pluto or Tubi, that feature a wide variety of classic TV, current TV, movies, game shows, etc. etc. In addition, both of these have a nice variety of military related documentaries as well as war movies, etc. I just watched an hour long doc on Tubi all about the planes used in WW2. Finding just one title should start leading you down the rabbit hole of more. Perfect viewing for those afternoons spent at the workbench!

G'day Dan and ta for the heads up. Now loaded Tubi and love it!!!

There's a lot of good stuff on there. I watch episodes of the first season of The Flintstones!

First thing I watched was an episode of the '60s Addams Family. (Even as a kid, I had a thing for Carolyn Jones in that slinky black dress....Wink)

Thanks. I have Tubi, and didn't use it because I didn't know what was on it.  I also get the the Smithsonian channel.  They have a great series called Aerial America, where the pick a state or very scenic they fly low over while narrating what you are seeing.  Excellent cinematography!

Nice - I'll check that out!

The Flintstones, great; educational programing .  .  .  Wearing furs , with neckties, and driving stone cars. Good Stuff !!!

Aww, does it make you sad that I can also occasionally watch something fun that takes me back to my childhood? I'm sorry that you grew up and got boring.
