Really, I have no way of answering that.

I wouldn't mind seeing a 1/200 New Jersey with all the extras,or a 1/72 Revell U-Boat.

Questions a little vague.

Seems like  you're looking at variety of types of subjects.  Maybe try an airplane or a car/bike or realspace/sci-fi to see if any particular types grab your interests.  Most of us tend to gravitate towards particulary subjects - I like planes/cars/bikes for instance, but I have built armor/ships/subs/tanks/sci-fi - just settled into my likes for whatever reasons.  I appreciate all models though.

Something with rigging.  Possibly the 1/50 Viking boat or if you feel amibitious, a 1/32 WW1 biplane.

I think its all about what you, personally, have a passion for.  My main area of interest is military aircraft from about the Vietnam era forward, so that's mainly what I build, with an occasional diversion with cars or sci-fi stuff.

So, Ed, what did you like the most from the things you have built? And why?

Maybe build some more of the kind you liked the most?

Or Star Wars, Trek, any Sci Fi can really be fun. It also has the advantage of being more familiar to most people that actual subjects.

What a fun dilemma.  Maybe buy a few kits you think will be fun, challenging, or something you want to learn more about.  Get those kits home and very shortly the voice in your head will pick one.  For me inspiration often comes from seeing other modelers build something on here.  I like to read so inspiration can come from something like The Battle of Midway.  Bought a few pacific theater subjects after that.  

If you want me to offer a specific kit the new Tamiya 1/48 Phantom is supposed to be gods gift to plastic modeling.

My interest vary. I guess I like the challenge of putting the models together, but my thumbs  are bad and the dexterity in both hands sometimes makes it challenging. When I was building the battleship, I spent a lot of time on my hands and knees looking for those tiny parts that flipped away as I was preparing to glue them down.

Someone mentioned a motorcycle or submarine. That sparked an interest. I use to drive a motorcycle when I was at the US Subase New London.

Gonna look into that Tamiya Phantom. Years ago I built the Enola Gay and a F14 Tomcat

Anyone know if there is a visible motorcycle engine model?  I really enjoyed put the V8 together....although the instructions really sucked

      The question should be" What do I really want to build"? The suggestions are all good, But what do you prefer?What catches your interest better? Visible Cycle engine ? yes there is one, I don't remember what scale or who put it out. I do know it is in 1/8 scale!

    Not that you are discouraged however I knew a gentleman who lost both his thumbs in an accident in Viet Nam. Built FANTASTIC 72nd scale planes.

Around 1989, I used to worked as a photographer for a company that designed and built maintenance trainers for the Abrams and Bradley vehicles.

I arrived at the APG with a big list of photos I had to take.  Upon arrival I had to deal with a crusty old Master Sergeant. I told him well...the first thing we have to do is remove the turbine engine from one of these tanks.  He blew up. It was funny.  Luckily I was accompanied by a Major and he told ole sarge I was gonna be there for a week and to do what ever I wanted.

Next day we removed the turret.

Sarge and I became friends and he even let me drive a M1A1.

I've recommended it several times now- Tamiya's 1/48th F4U Corsair. 

1). Can generally be found for less than thirty bucks US.

2). Fits like a dream.

3). Is a pretty big plane even in 1/48th so less tiny parts to handle.

4). If you go late war camo was overall glossy navy blue so way less masking.

5). Pretty much everyone with any interest in the Second World War knows what a Corsair is.

I haven't built Tamiya's Phantom but I bet it does fit like glove. Bit pricey for me though. You might also try Tamiya's P-47 and P-51 also. Bit more masking on the olive green over grey and the natural metal schemes can be a bear to get right though so I'd go with the F4U over them.

Also Tamiya's old '70 and '80s tank kits are good. Cheap, easy-to-find, and fit really well. A bit outdated as to detail but great kits to get started out on.

Haynes did a V-Twin motorcycle engine, just checked ebay & there are quite a few there, around the £40 ($55-60) mark - sorry, I'm no good atposting links, but you should find some easily enough.  They also do a V8, but you've already built one of those
