Gun Turret Models

There is this;

        Gun Turrets can be interesting. What I think though is this. The workings inside are way more interesing for sure. Why? The average person has no Idea what it takes to get the Bullets and powder up to the turret for firing.

        Most have no idea what goes on in the bowels of the ship where the magazine is concerned, or how complicated it is down there. Or, for that matter, how many levels it emcompasses in a Capitol Ship!

       I believe there is one model, I think it's the Bismark's Bruno or Dora turrets. That covers a lot of unseen equipment. Even in the size of the old Lindberg " Blue Devil" destroyer,  it would make a fascinating model. No one has the slightest idea how much of a 5"-38 Cal. gun is unseen and that the trigger mechanism is simply a larger version of a pistol!

      I would like to see this done more with AFV's. To me the inside of an M 48 A-1 turret needs to be seen to be appreciated. Now, for sure, even a Dual 5"- 38  dual purpose gun would be fascinating as well. Then the Gearings and Sumners would get their main guns made aware of too!
