gregbale That was a announced back in June. Same for Panda, apparently. I built one of the Panda 1/35 Hueys, but I don't think I ever got around to anything by Kitty Hawk.

I had not heard that before, that's quite unfortunate. The had several MRAPs and Oshkosh vehicles in their lineup I wanted to get my hands on...guess I better get hunting now.
I found that Thunder Models must be closed as well, but likely for a while now. They put the wrong decal sheet in the Army Case VAI kit I am working on, and have been trying to contact their customer service email for such issues but they just seem to have ghosted and their Facebook page hasn't been updated since 2020. Really a shame that they may have went under, I have really enjoyed this kit.

You'd think they represent enough of a capital investment that someone, somewhere will be tempted.

Thier older kits were filled with issues like you mentioned, but their newer kits were amazing. Well detailed and excellent fit. Too bad, perhaps someone will pick up the molds and press on.
It's bittersweet. They put out some interesting subjects that weren't widly covered. On the other hand, the few of their kits I tried to build were bears. They fought me every step of the way and had just the weirdest fit issues and odd omissions....Like only 1 cannon muzzle instead of two in their Jaguar kit. Reviews of their Voodoo have turned me off every time I've had the bug to pick one up.
So TL/DR, It sucks that an up and coming maker folds, but I'm probably not losing too much sleep about it.

I was reading an article from DN models going over the fact that Kittyhawk models in no more. They have completely disappeared and their kits are now being gobbled up by anyone that can in large quantities. There goes the prices and some pretty nice kits as well.
