To be honest, at the moment, I just want to add Revell/Monogram's 1/48 F-89 Scorpion to my stash...I build one when I was early teens, and would like to do another with my current skills.  As a kid, I had always wanted the dragonflyy from the same company, and I finally grabbed one from eBay, but those scorpion kits are expensive!

I picked up the old 1/72 aurora kit and ordered the Lonestar conversion but Mike has been dealing with some personal issues.   Maybe ICM will scale theirs down to 1/48

Thanks,

John

Oh yea, I forgot a 1/48 CH-54 (I know we just got a 1/35 one - who has the room?) and it's civilian S-64 Skycrane equivilent with the Erickson fire fighter gear and markings.

There is the old 1 /72 boxing of the Revell kit and Lonestar was supposed to bring out a conversion kit with the water tank and decals.  Haven't been able to contact.

But yeah, a 1/48 would be nice, if a little big

Another voice in the wilderness for the Pedro's as well.

Definately the H-43 with a detailed interior.

Then there's these:

Would love to see:

More 1/350 amphibs and auxiliaries (cold war era), 1/700 WWII freighters and oilers (ours, theirs, everybodies),

1/72 - 1/32 Air Tractors - ag, fire fighting, and strike aircraft (or kits with all options),

1/35 LCM-6's and 'Nam era riverine craft, ALL of them !

Yeah, that would work.

I have said it before,

And I will say it again

Escort carriers ( preferably U.S.S. Bouge)

Would L O V E it in 1/144 scale ... or any scale larger than that tiny 1/700 scale they made several years ago.

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

Hello!

Just to throw in some names - a 1:35 '65 Caterpillar D7 (maybe with a rome plow right on), decent 1:72 H-43 Husky/Pedro, while we're at it - 1:72 H-3C Jolly Green with interior. And no, we still don't have an adequate UH-1D Huey in 1:72.

Come on, admit it - many things from our wish lists have been published as a kit in the last years, eh?

Thanks for reading and have a nice day

Paweł

All comments and critique welcomed. Thanks for your honest opinions!

Glamdring,

I agree with you about more tractor kits, especially the older vintage stuff, like either Oliver or Masey Ferguson.  I alos like your idea of the Oshkosh big hauler trucks minus their trailer.  My #1 kit on a wish list would be a 1/350 or larger U.S.S. America CVA -66.   Come on Tumpeter, you can do it!

I'd like to see more trainers in 1/48 scale, injected molded. Airplanes like these:

Ryan PT-22, Vultee BT-13/15, AT-6D, Harvard Mk II, T-28A, Raytheon T-6 Texan II,  Fairchild PT-19, Bedech AT-11, Beech T-34C.

Any or all of those from a maunfacturer like Tamiya or Airfix would be terrific.

I like the trainers as well.  Isracast makes the Texan II - nice kit.  There was an at-6d hasegawa/monogram.  Italeri did a Harvard Mk II and I think Czech models did a T-34C

Maybe not exactly what you are looking for but here's my Isracast Texan, Roden T-28B, Minicraft T-34A

Thanks,

John

Vehicles that work for a living like construction equipment or fire trucks or the like. How about trains such as steam locomotives from various time periods. Ships that aren't military like Zvezda's new ice breaker (I just finished it and loved every minute of it) or tankers or cargo ships? Maybe a sailing vessel with proper rigging.

Maybe a Zubr Class Soviet assault hovercraft, KM-1 "Caspian Sea Monster and N-1 moon rocket, all in 1/144 scale and injection plastic.  And a PACV in 1/35 and plastic.  I know all the above are available in resin, except for the Zubr, but I'd like modern high detail plastic kits.

Oh, and some quality kits of experimental planes like the Rockwell XFV-12A and X-31, Northrop and Martin lifting bodies, and that crazy Dornier VTOL jet with the pair of Harrier engines.

As you can see I like the weird stuff.

Oh, last but certainly not least, a new kit of the Messerschmitt Bf-109G6, in all scales.  Stick out tongue

1/12 Yamaha YZR-M1 - Fabio Quartararo's MotoGP winning Monster engergy bike

1/20 Redbull F1 Car - Max Verstappen's winning car

Model Kit Subject Wish List
Posted by Glamdring on Saturday, February 19, 2022 10:10 AM

I am always curious what others would like to build, that havn't been able to yet beause there hasn't been a kit released yet.  So, what is a kit you wish a manufacturer would release, or re-release if it has been out of production and unavailable?

Mine are:

I wish farming tractors got some more attention from scale models manufacturers as well.  I know there are some out there, but I wish there were more classic and modern farming subjects.

It would be welcome news if someone would resurrect the Wingnut Wings molds and start popping these out again at more reasonable prices than they go for now.

My biggest specific kit wish is for a Meng and Hobby Boss to put out their Oshkosh tank hauler kits as just the trucks, without the trailer.
