CB's 2002 Pass in Review -- Oops , forgot one!
Posted by cbaltrin on Monday, December 26, 2022 8:25 AM

Update: Ok,  Since I managed to find a shelf queen and complete it for my 4th kit of 2022, maybe my footbal team can win the Super Bowl this year? Hmm

So Adding #4 to my 2022 list,  a 1/72 Hasegawa P-47D, 362nd FG.

Just as my football team is now mathematically elimiated from the playoffs, I have concluded that it is now mathimatically impossible to finish more builds this year. Therefore it would be an appropriate time for this post.

Just two three four crossed the finish line this year.

Hasegawa 1/72 P-47D 'Five by Five'

AMT 1/25 '67 Chevy Impala SS

Tamiya 1/72 N1K1 Shiden

Revell 1968 1/72 A-7 Corsair

Update, I just realized that I am in danger of completing one more kit in 2022. I have a 1/72 hasegawa P-47 D that just needs a few more decals , the canopy painted, and the gear attached...

Thanks stik, I forgot about the Impala... still trying to squeeze in the thunderbolt. Made good progress yesterday-- got the canopy painted, tires, and ordnance finished, sludge washed selective details, painted the gear wells and gave up on finding a gun sight that nobody will see anyway... hoping to wrap this one up today (oh no, he said it!) Zip it!

I like that Jug! Clean build! I was able to sneak two in under the year-end wire myself. I think the purple works well on that Impala. Nice collection here!

Cheers!

Thanks O! Yes, I get a lot of inquiries on the Impala paint. It's model master pearl grape enamel, not that it will do anyone any good now tha MM is TU...
