Ollies models

For those of you with an Ollies discount store in your area.

Just saw a huge stash of model kits. Mostly cars.

Several "Coca Cola" branded ones.

$12.99 to $19.99

Used to have one near our old house. They'd have a few cars one week and then nothing for 6 months. Then a few more and wait another 6 months.

Stay safe.

Ollie's is practically an indoor flea market.  It sells closeouts, remnants, items from auctions, and similar items, with some items from wholesalers.  As far as the model kits go, I think Ollie's has an arrangement with Round2 to sell kits from its brands, but it's not nearly as regular as we see with hobby chains like HobbyTown or vendors like Michael's and HobbyLobby. That is, you have to check frequently to see what's on hand.  It is good to stop in and see, if you have an Ollie's near you, but it's good to have other sources for your kits, too.

Wallmart near us does the same thing. Couple dozen car kits. When they're gone, no more for at least 6 months. Last time it was the coca-cola cars.

Stay safe.

My local Ollie's had a ton of Armstrong flooring at closeout prices. I did a quick estimate on my upstairs bathrooms, master bedroom bath and kid's bathroom, and bought enough of that flooring to do both baths and have a partial box remaining. Probably saved over 50% on the flooring.

I checked Ollie's today.  They had a large amount of the Bandai Boba Fett models for $13.  I would have grabbed one if I didn't already have one.  Bandai star wars kits are great.

In addition to the Coca-Cola branded cars, my Ollie's in Cincinnati and Northern KY had the Monopoly train and Willys, the Copperhead dragster, a 2017 Camaro, the Ed Roth International Transtar, the Big Rig Trailer, the dragster with the skis on it (I forget the name of the kit), and I just recently found the GI Joe Snake Eyes model from Flame. The only thing i never found was the Surf Wagon. I would have bought that for $13, not the $45 that Round 2 initially priced it at.
