placing LED Lighting in models

Could it be that you glued the connections to the kit and they shorted out?

You could try gluing only the insulated wires in and maybe prop us the leds a little away from the glue, and make sure they have no chance to cross connect and short out.

Check to make sure they are free and then power them up to make sure they are working.

Thanks for the suggestion I will try and loosen up some of the LED's and see if they work.

Hello!

It's almost obvious to say the LEDs should be tested to see if they all work before glueing everything.

And if they work, you could immerse everything in Super Glue and it still should be working. Glueing the wires and LEDs with it should be no problem at all, it's just that repairing anything afterwards gets really hard.

I've come to the same conclusion and am learing a great deal. I think that I may need to try and salvage what works and go from there. I may end up purchasing a replacement lighting kit.  I know that there has been some issues with this particular kit but that was years ago aanad I'd hoped the issues have been resolved.        I have used it in Model boat forward and upper cabins.I always enclose it in a piece of Evergreen "U"Channel plastic to give that Light fixture look. works okay.
