Friul tracks back in business?

I checked their website today and it looks like they're open for business.

Hmmm:

     I do know i did a unit with their tracks. Most fascinating thing I did in Armor. The model isn't finished, as I had to go back to work on a Commission. The tracks sure added some heft to the model. I'll have to finish it soon. By the way it was the "Dicker Max" kit!

For resin tracks I've used a company called Tankraft.com. I bought a set for a Tiger I and they went together flawlessly. Not one resin pin broke during assembly. Unfortunately their selection is rather small.

 

Yeah, that was them, thank you for jogging my memory.  I used their M18 Hellcat set and it was good.  I have hopes that other printers will eventually expand their lines for more older kits of obscure subjects, but I suspect they only react to what the major manufacturers are putting out for now.  Since Tamiya had recently released that M18, that was probably why they had this set.

Meh,found some good lower priced alternatives in their absence,so unless they lowered their prices,I'll take a pass on them.

I prefer some of those metal tracks found on Ebay that include brass pins, I think R Model is the brand.  I find their assembly so much cleaner and easier than Friuls with the wire.

The downside is they come straight from Hong Kong, so can take a while to arrive, and they don't have the same wide selection of subjects as Friul.

Also had good luck with 3d resin tracks earlier this year, I will try to remember who I went through, but they were great.  No clean up, the resin pins were perfect, and they were excellent subs for the Tamiya rubber bands.

 

I recently bought a set from a China mfg. through BNA Model. I haven't tried them yet, but they did come with pins and the links look good. Don't know the name of the company as the box is completely in Chinese.
