Thanks for the thoughts.  It would be tedious if every pilot had a German Shepherd at his sibe.  I will try some of these others for the next few.

For 1/72 or 1/76 scale dogs, you might want to check out miniature model hobby stores or online retailers that specialize in military dioramas or model railroad accessories.

Iceman Collections sells a 1/24 scale bulldog. You could contact him and ask if he could print a couple in a smaller scale.

Or go on Cults3D and search for a dog file. Then you can search for someone to print it.

Insert wise quote here.

Thanks to you all.  I finally found something that looks really good in Shapeways, but I was amazed by the lack of user-friendliness of that site.  No idea how I found what I needed a year or two ago.

And indeed, it was German Shepherds that I found, although I think the WWI vintage term was Alsatian.  One of these noble critters will be sitting near the pilot standing by his Albatros or Fokker or whatever.

Thanks!

Elheim Figures sells a dog pack MC08, but if you go to their site and search for "dog", many dog related sets turn up, although many seem to be German Shepherd style.

There is a "Meddling Kid's" set of hipsters along with their Great Dane (appears to be Scooby Doo and Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, Velma).

The old Airfix 1/76 Bloodhound Missile has maintenance figures plus a guard and guard dog -- German Shepherd/Alsatian type, in alert but relaxed stance. Big Smile

There are fair number of 3D printed listings on Ebay for figures and dogs in 1/72, many are going to ship out of China though.

This is a problem;

 the closest I've gotten is 1/87 h.o. scale dogs.

Can anybody suggest a source for 1/72 (or 1/76) dogs?  Pretty much any breed of dog would be good - skip chihuahua and poodle, I guess.

Thanks,
Rick
