My output was low because of health and such, but (No Pics, Sorry) The 1/20 John Player Special at 90% and the "Faller" River Ferry at 50% so far. My eyes are finished, So I can see better, now have to figure distances and Readers or Not! Parkinson's slowed me down Big time, But I ain't stopping-"So-There!"

Edwin

You've been busy!

Great work on display here. Good job!

I've alway liked BF110s. How was the Cyber-Hobby kit?

I have to say it was the best 110 I've ever built.  Better than the Monogram 1/72, Monogram Pro-Modeler 1/48, and Revell 1/32 that I've built.  Never did the Eduard kit, but this one was very nicely detailed.  None of the other kits that I've seen included the wire that runs along the fuselage (although I'd be hard-pressed to explain what that wire actually did)

Well done, Aggie! The lighting really adds to the builds. I usually don't like sci-fi stuff, but your builds are sharp.

Wow, those are great builds!  The lighting makes the space craft absolutely pop.

My Year 2023 in Review
Posted by Aggieman on Sunday, December 31, 2023 11:29 AM

Weird year for me.  Started off normal, albeit with a little different grouping of subjects coming of my bench.  Then came what turned out to be my last build of the year, Polar Light's USS Enterprise NCC-1701 (TOS) with lighting kit in 1/350 scale.  Started that turkey in the heat of the SE Texas summer, finished it yesterday.

First off the bench was Tamiya's 1/48 Heinkel He162A-2 Salamander.  Good kit.

Next was Hasegawa's old 1/72 Boeing B-47E Stratojet.  Not much detail here, but that was to be expected in such an old kit.  Built wheels up to hang alongside my collection of big bombers.

Then I went to a galaxy far, far away with Bandai's tiny Super Star Destroyer and Rebel Blockade Runner.  I was able to install lights into the SSD but there just was not room to get everything snapped together on the BR to accommodate the fiber optics.

Next was Tamiya's 1/35 Deuce and a Half, US 2.5 Ton 6x6 Cargo Truck.  I'd had this kit in the stash for years.  Glad I finally built it, turned out to be a lot of fun.

Another long-time inhabitant of my stash was next, Cyber-Hobby's 1/48 Bf110D-3.  Really enjoyed building that one.

Back to a galaxy far, far away with Bandai's A-Wing in 1/72 scale.  Added an aftermarket lighting kit to it.  Fun build.

I next built Accurate Miniatures' 1/48 F3F-2 with the PE rigging set.  I enjoyed building this one.

To boldly go where no one has gone before, I went to a couple of huge 1/350 Star Trek models from Polar Lights.  First up was the Klingon K'Ting'a battlecruiser featured in the opening minutes of Star Trek:  The Motion Picture.  Installed the lighting kit for this beast.  PITA to mask but turned out good.  After the K'Ting'a, I went with the USS Enterprise NCC-1701.  Ugh.  The lighting kit was garbage.  Fit was terrible in multiple places.  And it was a struggle just to find time at the bench given how terribly hot it was here in SE Texas for much of the year.

I actually put the Enterprise on hold for about a month to attempt Revell's big 1/32 Ju88A-1, but I ended up deep-sixing that one after making an incorrectable mistake with the fuselage and cockpit installation.
