Where is the best place, or how best, to be up to date on new model kits that are released. I'm particularly interested in military aircraft.
On the internet, the various modeling sites usually have announcements.Britmodeler is very aircraft oriented.
Aeroscale on the Kitmaker Network has an announcement section.
You can also check in on the various manufacturer websites
Cybermodeler has a list of upcoming new and re-releases for all kits. Here's the aircraft one.

Second Cybermodeler, also Hyperscale's What's New page, https://www.hyperscale.com/what's.htm
I'd bookmark Scalemates, too, as a general source of kit info. But remember that it's a wiki that depends on its members for updates. Most forums-all forums?-depend similarly on people to update them. But often there's a dedicated staff, even a staff of one, who work on publishing new kit/new product info. Those might be a step ahead of sites or forums that rely strictly on members for updates.
It's also worth it to visit your favorite manufacturers' websites, or Facebook pages, if you use Facebook, and set up alerts or whatever they might offer, to get notice of new items they bring out.
