Excellent idea!!!

I would like to suggest putting Super Glue, maybe in brackets or something, in the definition of CA. I still have to stop and think sometimes when I see CA before it clues in. Must be all those paint and glue fumes. :-)

No offense meant to IPMS -- just kind of tickled me

POS- Anything made by Palmer Plastics......Anybody old enough to remember these "fine" kits will understand. They sorta, kinda, almost replicated the subject matter. And a better training ground for filling seams could not be devised!

Even Hawk or Lindberg on their worst day beat these "models"

Greetings, all.

Had an interesting conversation once about how terms used in the military are often different depending on the branch that you are in. For example, the term "Secure a building":

Army: Send in as many troops as necessary to capture it, then guard it at all costs

Marines: Send in as much munitions as possible to level it, then guard the heap of rubble left over

Navy: Turn off all the lights and everybody go home

Air Force: Take out a 5 year lease with an option to buy

Just goes to show that not everybody is on the same page...

I always heard, wait till the Army secures it and the Air Force takes it over and turns it into a bar. Wink [;)]

Also, how do you stop a Navy, Marine and Army pilot from talking? Hand them another drink. How do you stop an Air Force pilot from talking? Tie his hands behind his back. Big Smile [:D]

Berny,

I've got to hand it to the Air Force, though. They re persistent, still claiming that bicycle riding is a completely legitimate form of Physical Training. While the other forces are running everywhere, they just look more and more like Mary Poppins...

AMS...Advanced Modeling Syndrome

Definition: A debilitating disease in which the modeler no longer believes a kit can be accurate enough to be built straight from the box. The disease progresses until the modeler is convinced that accuracy and precision isn't really accurate or precise enough. Example: If you add a driver's seat to a tank, then I'm going to add the entire interior...even though you won't be able to see it after everything is buttoned-up. If you add the entire interior, then I'm going to add all the clamps and brackets that hold the interior together...and so it goes...ad nauseum. The syndrome can be terminal.
