this post & subject has resurfaced multiple times over the past 12-months;
and it always ends with the cold-hard fact - "Tamiya is not building a 1/32 B-17!".

as much as the international modelling community is crying out for a new-mould B-17, and the fact that every man would love one, would die for one, or even sell their mother and heaven-forbid sell their wife for one, . . . we are not getting a Tamiya 1/32 B-17.

And unfortunately, Panda hasn't been too reliable themselves as there are a lot of people waiting for them to release a helo kit...I think it's a CH-47....and it keeps coming up in the Helo forums...but still, the mystery eludes everyone!! Until then, I guess I won't have to sell my car to get one.....just yet!! LOL Wink [;)]Tongue [:P]Big Smile [:D]

As mentioned previously, "Tamiya is not building a 1/32 B-17!"

Now, a 1/48 B-17, that's still up in the air...

Gee, I can hardly wait for a $300.00 plastic kit and the $2500.00 shed I'll have to build in the back yard to shelter it.

lol

Panda also had plans for a 1/32 B-17, but I think it went the way of the CH-47

Now 1/32 B26? Whoever makes that one will be assured my hard cash. Thats my hold out......

I think I'll have to dig out my old archives of RPM and republish my review of the Laerton 1/16 B-36...

Hey folks,

I'm working on a B17F by Revell at the moment in honor of my Grandfather who was a tailgunner in WWII. It's the first Non tank model I've done in over 20 years. It's 1/48th scale and seems huge to me.
