Online Modelling Store which display in stock items ?????
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, May 24, 2004 5:01 PM
HI all,

Anyone know of a good online store which display which items they currently have in stock (apart from Great Models Webstore - already know that one). I'm tired of placing an order, only to have them order it and have to wait weeks for it to be delivered.

Thanks,

Adam.

www.towerhobbies.com is probably the best I've come across for that, they even post arrival dates of out of stock items and will break up shipments if somethings out.

I have to second www.squadron.com. I use them more than anybody else. I've placed a dozen orders and only once was something I ordered not in stock. They usually ship their orders the next day. Typically I get the package a week (or less) from the day I order it.

I've only placed one order with Great Models Webstore and was not at all impressed. Aside from taking forever to ship, they screwed up my order. Although they attempted to fix it, I wasn't happy with the solution.

I can't stand Great Models!!! I've ordered there probably 6 times, and 4 of those times stuff was backordered. It's like going to the stripclub....it's all just a tease!

Though it's partly old stuff, you could try www.modelsforsale.com They are in the UK so postage may be a problem.
