Any model builders in Iraq?

Another member from the Armour Forum is in Iraq ..... Redleg .... he posts from there every once in a while and is still building models while there.

Sadly, I didn't bring anything with me this time, we were in a bit of a rush to pack up and deploy, and most of my kits were still in boxes from the movers (Long story). But the next "trip" I go on, there will be a small, but comprehensive styrene survival kit going with me. I'm just lucky that my job let's me be on the computer so I can enjoy our hobby vicariously through everyone here.

Also good to hear from the other front. Are you getting to work on any thing over there? I brought a few 1-72 scale tank kits with me and get to work on them an hour or two a night. My wife sends me any stuff I need or I mail order it from Squadron mail order. I was in Kosovo for seven months with out my models. It sucked! So when I found out I was going to Iraq I made sure to pack some stuff to work on.
We live in an old building that we built up so its not to bad. The only real problem is the dust. So I leave every thing in the box after painting or working on it. I have 5 room mates so 1-72 scale kits are perfect for the amount of space I have to build. I built a small table out of scrap wood that I model on. Its also my night stand.
Its not perfect or like my shop at the house but it works and I'm happy just to have stuff to work on.
